Wind River Grave

She said Wind, “I will never ask again. Just point me to the north and I’ll begin.”
Wind said, “Dear, just head out to the sea. Maybe then you believe and find your peace.”

I’ll go on till I find what I’m breathing for.
When I reach the end, I’ll know it by the sound.
Then I’ll rest my head on down.

Old River, “I will never ask again. Just point me to the west and I’ll begin.”
River said, “Dear, just head up to the hills! The sun will warm your chills and cure your ills.”

I’ll go on till I find what I’m breathing for.
When I reach the end, I’ll know it by the sound.
Then I’ll rest my head on down.

I’ll hold on till I find what I’m reaching for.
When all my fears, are buried in the ground
I’ll rest my head on down.

I hold my spirit close. Won’t let the fire go cold.
I hold my spirit close. Won’t let the fire go cold.
I hold my spirit close. Won’t let the fire go cold.
I hold my spirit close. Won’t let the fire go —

She cried Grave, “I will never ask again! Just point me to the south and I’ll begin.”
Grave cried, “Oh, I could never give you hope. Just hold on to your bones and heed the road.”
